Isotonic Medium S™ is an isotonic solution with protein to avoid cellular distortion and preservative to prevent contamination growth.
It may be used to collect fresh cells in unfixed specimens including FNA needle rinses / brushings.
Storage Information: The tube with dry reagent(s) may be stored in cool dry place. It has to be reconstituted with the diluent provided with the pack before use about 6 hours in advance. The reconstituted Isotonic Medium STM may be used for up to 1 week if stored at 2-8°C. The fresh unfixed specimens collected in Isotonic Medium S should be stored at 2-8 °C and processed / fixed within 24 hours.
